Painted at the top of Nob Hill in San Francisco on California St.  That's the Mark Hopkins hotel lit by the sun.  This painting is oil on linen museum wrapped with painted sides.

The image of the painting in process on the easel (the second thumbnail) shows the work from a profile view, but please note that the painting was not yet completed.
