Valley Light

Oil on linen mounted on gatorboard.

Sold
Better Than A Cup Of Coffee

This is from a backpacking trip.  This glorious view was how I was greeted the first morning as I looked over Lake Chickenfoot in the Red Rock Creek section of the eastern Sierra.  This is oil on linen, mounted on a gatorboard panel.  Framed in a silver leaf plein air style frame.

In Transition

As a continuation of my obsessive exploration of grand skies and extreme lighting conditions, this piece explores the experience of a remarkable and unique moment in time.

Sold
SF Skyline

View of San Francisco, spanning the iconic Transamerica Pyramid building to Coit Tower.

I painted this from Treasure Island looking back at the city on a crisp clear morning.

This is oil on linen mounted on gatorboard.  I'm selling this unframed.  If you like to discuss framing options, give me a call.

Sold
Tomalas Bay Throwback

I painted this on a trip to Tomalas Bay near one of the oyster shack restaurants.  I love this area.  It feels like a trip back in time, and this this old farm out on a private peninsula looks like it probably witnessed the gold rush here in California.

This is an oil painting on gessoed gatorboard.

Sold
Quintessential Carmel

Painted (and sold) during the 2014 Carmel Art Festival.

Sold
Afternoon Tide

This is oil on linen mounted on board (gatorboard).

I was drawn to this scene with the combination of both stillness, movement and reflections in the water.  This is a scene near my home in Palo Alto, CA.

Sold
Central Coast Signature

I painted this piece after getting up at 4am to drive in the dark to be at this location for sunrise.

I arrived on site and discovered that I had failed to pack my easel, but it was just so beautiful that I rigged together a setup with parts I happened to have with me and I my efforts were rewarded with this beautiful.

I titled "Central Coast Signature" because this piece captures a number of the unique elements found only on the California central coast.

Sold
Pebble Beach Overlook

This was painted on location from a tucked in spot overlooking Pebble Beach across a golf course.  What a dramatic tree, wind blown yet elegant.

This is an oil on linen mounted on gatorfoam (highly archival yet lightweight).  It is currently be sold unframed, and is priced as such.  Call to discuss framing options.

Sold
Pebble Beach Cove

On comission, I took a 2 day trip down to Carmel to paint a particular scene.  In the afternoons I took time to paint some different locations, including this piece that drew my attention with the glow of the rocks in shadow.

This is oil on linen mounted on gatorboard.

California Bloom

I painted this over the California 'winter', when the rains bring out the wildflowers.  Classic valley view with distant hills visible.

This is an oil painting on board (gatorboard).
